Stairs

Well the week has been hectic so far. Aside from little issues here and there on the house, work has been a huge pain. Breanna's work has been busier than busy and weve had issues at the gas stations as well. Real fun to juggle it all. We now have power at the house which i guess will come in handy at some point. The stairs are built and all the framing in the basement is done. By the end of tomorrow the garage floor will be graded, styrofoamed, all the in floor heat tubing laid, and ready for concrete on Monday. Were hoping to start the rock retaining walls this weekend so hopefully nobody gets crushed.

Shitter Tank

It was a big day at Sherlin Manor. On top of a productive end to last week today was also a busy day on the hill. The rain last week slowed production on the septic system but it was dry and sunny today and the septic was installed. Some backfilling was also completed, most notably in the garage. With a little more backfill the main excavation should be done, with the exception of our large rock landscape wall. The electricians also started today. It was only the meter box and circuit box but at least it is done and Xcel can hook up our power tomorrow. The guys have the house all sheeted and the window openings cut out. The framing upstairs is nearly complete with the exception of the stairs and stairwell walls.

Exterior Walls

More lumber, more walls. The majority of the exterior walls were put up today. A slight lumber shortage at the yard was the only thing holding us back from completely framing the house in. Tomorrow more wood will be there and they can finish the outer walls and start in on the interior walls. Monday the exterior of the walkout walls received some sheeting as can be seen in one of the pics. More to come soon.

Lumber & Floor Trusses

So I know its been a while and I appologize for that. Its been busy and a lot of the early construction was just bearing walls here and there. Basically they were boring pics. After the floor was poured we had the better half of a week with nothing being done due to weather and our carpenters finishing another project. Since they have got here however, things have been cruising. Early last week all the bearing walls and walkout walls were finished. That left the latter half of the week to throw up the trusses as well the flooring or decking for the main floor. We also had a little more excavation done and we're hoping to get the majority of that as well as the water line and septic dug in this week. The carpenters will start framing the main level this week as well. Plenty of new pics below.

Basement Floor

Good progress this week. The blocks for the garage walls were put up, the in-floor heat was put in the basement, and the basement floor was poured. On Tuesday dad and I put the styrofoam down for the in-floor heat and it was installed on Wednesday. I talked Rob into pouring the floor on a warm day (Thursday) when they would usually wait for a cooler one. This way the carpenters can get to framing and setting trusses next week.
